MORE ANNIVERSARIES ON THE DIARY!

For my  long-time blog readers, you will know that history is an important element in my particular field, and many have responded to recent posts linked to the Society of Women Writers and Journalists' 130th anniversary.  Thank you - we enjoyed a lovely lunch on that  sunny day at the House of Lords on 1 May hosted by our lovely President, Floella Baroness Benjamin.

  Already, some of our Essex Reading and Writing groups have celebrated special anniversaries this year and yet to come we have our special anniversary month in June celebrating Essex Book Festival's 25th birthday.  I enjoyed meeting up with Ros Green, Director of our Essex Book Festival yesterday. For ten years, since she took over the mantle, we have been delighted to meet so many of our great novelists, poets and entertainers at venues all over Essex.
