VISITING A VERY SPECIAL BRENTWOOD BOOKSHOP LIKE NO OTHER IN ESSEX
Despite the challenging problems we've all experienced over the last 20 months, an unexpected delightful highlight for me at Christmas was meeting Natasha Radford in her fascinating bookshop in Crown Street, Brentwood - just a minute away from the Bay Tree Centre. Last time we met was in a radio studio broadcast for Phoenix 98fm.
Natasha and husband Jim own this specialist children's bookshop which is a treasure trove of wonderful books for children and also has a tuition centre on site. Their passion for children’s books is evident and they are committed to providing a community-centred shop right in the heart of Brentwood conveniently sited in the middle of one of the town's most interesting and ancient areas - 30 Crown Street. The Chicken and Frog stocks all kinds of fascinating books, across all categories, as well as being an interesting venue for youngsters to drop in for free story times and rhythm & rhyme sessions, or book in for affordable tuition sessions. (always check first regarding opening/closing times)
Since my pre-covid visit, Natasha and Jim have added yet another room catering this time for older readers and adults, so I was delighted to see some of my own local historical books among similar books included in her display.
Why not give the bookshop a ring or drop by and discover for yourself the amazing attractions that Natasha has to offer at the Chicken and Frog Bookshop - 30 Crown Street, Brentwood CM14 4BA Chicken & Frog Bookshop 01277 230068
