YET ANOTHER SPARKLING GATHERING AT THE NATIONAL LIBERAL CLUB IN WHITEHALL

During this difficult covid period, at least our super SWWJ have managed to celebrate an early Christmas gathering at the NLC in Whitehall. This time we had the benefit of meeting new members and those who have continued writing through such a challenging year or two. 

On Monday last, I enjoyed meeting our president Floella, Baroness Benjamin and her husband and numerous guests who made the trip to London. Also, Sandra, Lady Howard, our honoured patron.

I was very happy to be presented with the John Walter Salver for last year's competition, this time, for a short story. Usually, I concentrate on column journalism, rather than fiction, but as words are my passion, no day is complete without creating a couple of hundred words for one of my mag and newspaper editors.
