WONDERFUL GOINGS ON AROUND THE COUNTY - CHECK OUT OUR ESSEX BOOK FESTIVAL
At this year’s Essex Book Festival we have a range of authors and events to get you into the reading and writing mood.
From 1 July to 24 August 2021, our libraries host authors such as Monique Roffey (overall winner of the Costa Book of the Year 2020), Women’s Prize shortlisted Claire Fuller, to bestselling author Elizabeth Haynes. There’s a host of themes from history to real life stories.
There are fun workshops for families, too. Get into the recycling bug with ‘The Tindims of Rubbish Island’, a story about characters who put litter to good use, written by mother and daughter duo, Sally Gardner and Lydia Corry. Or tap into Makaton sign language with Ace Music Therapy CIC at Chelmsford Library.
Tickets are going fast, so don’t delay, book yours today. You’ll find all the details on our events web page.
As well as these library-based events the Festival has a host of talks, performances, workshops and storytelling events outdoors and in non-library venues. If you’d like more information, visit the Festival website.
