WONDERFUL MEMORIES OF "DAD'S ARMY" SHOWING ON CHANNEL FIVE

How incredible to watch the film making of the super series Dad's Army recently on Channel Five. The much loved writers Jimmy Perry and David Croft were speakers at our SWWJ convention many years ago, and I loved meeting some of the stars at various media events and shows at the Queen's Theatre in Hornchurch, Essex where Clive Dunn made my mother's birthday so very special. Bill Pertwee was charming meeting journalists at the Chelsea Flower Show, and Barbara Windsor and Pamela Cundell were lovely ladies who often appeared in some of the eighty episodes from 968 to 1977. We were due to have lunch with Pamela, but illness intervened and we never made the trip to her famous Concert Artists Club in London's Covent Garden.
