WELCOME My weblog focuses on history, writing and publishing. An index box to find people/topics is top left-hand side of this page. As a F/L writer, I contribute to national, regional magazines and on-line journals. Most of my books have been reprinted and are still on sale in Waterstone's and supermarkets (unbelievably!). ESSEX FOLKLORE helped Channel 5’s film COUNTY SECRETS aired recently. My 7th book THE WOMAN WRITER, published by The History Press sells nationally and at the British Library. I trace the history of the Society of Women Writers and Journalists from 1894. Our pioneers made their mark in journalism, literature and poetry. I celebrate not only our Society, but also the centenary of Joyce Grenfell, a former president. A chapter is dedicated to Joyce who meanders throughout my book which was reviewed in The Times and other dailies, radio and U-tube. I am now their Archivist. One outlet, the Vancouver-based online magazine www.Suite101.com regularly publish my articles. Current blog hits are almost 70,000 so thanks for visiting my site.
